We provide a full range of aerial survey and inspection services, including roof surveys, building and structural condition checks, topographic surveys and mapping, new development/construction progress monitoring, thermal imaging, solar panel inspections, agricultural mapping, volume calculations, orthomosaic mapping, aerial photography, and sponsorship imaging on roofs.
Pricing depends on the required outputs (2D maps, 3D models, detailed reports), the size of the area to be surveyed, the type of data collection needed (visual, thermal, LiDAR), site accessibility, weather-related delays, site complexity, delivery timeframe, and the level of accuracy required. Basic surveys typically start from £295, and it's generally cheaper than using conventional survey methods. Contact us with your site address and requirements for a tailored quote.
Yes. Our pilots are CAA-registered with the required qualifications, we hold Operational Authorisation for our type of operations, and we carry £5m public liability cover plus professional indemnity insurance. We undergo regular safety audits and training and maintain full compliance with all relevant civil and public bodies.
We can capture data very close to a roof or structure, picking up the small details surveyors need for their reports. Using RTK and ground control points, we can achieve horizontal accuracy down to 1cm, vertical accuracy within 2 to 3cm, and, for photogrammetry generally, precision as fine as 20mm depending on the building and the level of detail required. Thermal readings are accurate to within ±2°C or 2% of reading.
On-site time varies with the size and complexity of the job, a small residential survey might take 2 to 4 hours (a straightforward house survey can be as quick as 20 minutes), medium projects around a day, and large or complex sites 2 to 3 days. Data processing typically takes 24 to 48 hours, with full reports delivered within 3 to 5 business days. If a fast turnaround is required, we can often provide data on the day.
Your data is protected under our privacy policy and is not shared with third parties. Unless you agree otherwise, we may use images and video for our own marketing purposes.
Depending on your project, deliverables can include high-resolution orthomosaic maps, 3D point clouds, digital surface models, detailed inspection reports, CAD-compatible files, interactive 3D models, annotated imagery, and raw data on request. Images are typically supplied as JPEG or DNG (RAW) files at 12MP (4000×3000) as standard, with 48MP available on request. Video is supplied in HD (1920×1080), 2.7K (2688×1512) or 4K (3840×2160) as MP4/MOV (H.264 or H.265).
Surveys can be affected by strong winds (typically above 25mph), rain or snow, poor visibility, time of day/shadows, extreme temperatures, and electronic interference. If we can't fly safely, the flight is postponed at no charge and rescheduled for the next suitable day.
By law, we can't operate near airports, military bases or prisons without the proper permissions. If permissions are needed for your site, we'll arrange these for you. Power lines and other hazards aren't a barrier to us operating: our team carries out a risk assessment before every flight and plans around potential hazards.
Simply contact us with your project details; we'll provide a quote, arrange a site visit if needed, confirm the booking and timeline, and complete a pre-survey checklist before the flight. We're usually able to start within a day or so, unless special permissions are required.
We use an invoicing system for company transactions, or you can pay by BACS transfer. We’re VAT registered, so please note that all charges are subject to VAT in addition to the prices quoted.
We cover the whole of the UK, with travel available for larger or multi-site projects, and international work may also be possible depending on the country and location.
To plan your survey, we'll need a site contact, site access permissions, details of any hazards on site, your project requirements/specifications, and your preferred timeline.
We operate professional-grade equipment, including the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced (thermal-capable, with RTK option), DJI Mini Pro 4, DJI Mavic 2 Zoom and DJI Mini 2, alongside specialist software for data processing and analysis.
We can fly up to 400ft under our operational authorisation (this can potentially be extended with the right permissions). There's no fixed limit on survey area, with multiple flights, we can cover almost any size of site.
Yes, we can fly at night, and can also operate indoors where there's sufficient space.
Yes, we can identify damaged or failing panels, detect hotspots using thermal imaging, map panel efficiency, track degradation over time, and generate maintenance and warranty reports.
We offer progress monitoring, cut/fill volume calculations, site planning and logistics support, safety inspections, as-built documentation, BIM integration, and stockpile measurements.
Our equipment and trained staff can help surveyors work more efficiently, quickly gathering the information needed for roof inspections, dilapidation inspections, condition reports, defect inspections, and buyer's survey reports.
Yes, we have an experienced post-production team who can tailor the footage to your needs.
No, your presence isn't required. As long as we have site access and any relevant permissions arranged in advance, our team can carry out the survey independently. However, you're welcome to be on-site if you'd like to observe or discuss specific areas of interest with the pilot.
In most cases drones can legally fly over neighbouring land briefly as part of a survey, but we always aim to minimise this and stay within your property boundary wherever possible. If a survey requires sustained flight over a neighbouring property, we'll advise you in advance so permission can be sought if needed.
If poor weather, technical issues, or access problems on our part mean a survey needs repeating, we'll re-fly at no extra cost. If a re-fly is needed due to a change in scope or requirements on the client's side, this would be quoted separately.
Yes, this is a common requirement for construction monitoring and roof condition tracking. We can carry out repeat surveys at agreed intervals and provide side-by-side or overlaid comparisons showing progress or changes over time.
Yes, we're happy to share example reports and deliverables from previous projects (with client details removed) so you can see the format and level of detail before committing to a booking.
